. But outside of this year’s exceptional TGA shortlist, what other game soundtracks deserve your attention?

To find out, we battered the inboxes of composers from all over the world and asked them to choose the best video game music from 2024. The rules are simple: composers could only have one top pick, and their choice had to be from a game OR official game soundtrack released in 2024. We’re cool with DLC, too (sorry, Awards police).

In addition to shining a spotlight on some fantastic soundtracks and composers, we hope this round-up encourages VGC readers to check out some games and soundtracks you might have missed otherwise.
