Forty-two of his 51 runs came from boundaries as the aggressive bat took to the Sharks bowlers, belting six fours and three sixes in the 116-run win at Procter Oval.

Peaks went on to post 9-197 from their 40 overs with Jayden Wood adding an unbeaten 37 and Chris Liddle contributing 29 in his 100th match for the club.

Keith Kinnear took 3-6 from four overs for Peaks while Peter Owen picked up 3-13 from six.

The Sharks were best served by Michael Philipps who took 3-33 from eight overs and Rodney Wood who scored 21 runs before they were bowled out in the 33rd over for 81.

Collingwood Park defeated Denmark by 76 runs at home, bowling the visitors out for just 79 overs inside 29 overs.

Sam Osborne led the Park attack with 4-10 from 6.1 overs after spearheading his side’s 7-155 batting innings with an unbeaten 43 from 90 ******.

The Magpies were buoyed by Brendan Girak who top-scored with 25 and he was their only multiple wicket taker with 2-49 from seven overs.

An inspired Jordan Draper innings was not enough to elevate Railways to a victory over Royals at Tigerland.

Despite Draper smashing 76 from 49 ******, including 11 fours and four sixes, the Tigers went down to the Lions by 26 runs.

The Lions posted 7-176 courtesy of an unbeaten 40 from Aaron Scullard while Philip Moody and Rob Berwick added 30 each.

Andrew Daubney led the Lions attack taking 3-34 from eight overs.

Denmark star batter Matt Burton crafted his third half-century of the B-grade season with an unbeaten 50 to guide the Magpies to an eight-wicket win on Saturday.

Burton smoked 10 fours in his impressive 31-ball knock and enters the Christmas and New Year break with an eye-watering average of 103.25 having belted three half-centuries and one century through the opening seven games.

The Magpies’ strong win was set up by their bowlers who rolled through Collingwood Park for 90 in the 33rd over at McLean Park.

Adam Kemp took 3-21 from eight overs and spinner Oliver Pluckhahn snared 2-6 from four overs.

The hosts took just 15 overs to chase down Park’s score two down with Peter Ross chipping in with 30.

Damion Leo took 4-22 to lead Royals to a superb 24-run win over Railways at Turf East.

Defending 136, the Lions ripped through the Tigers’ middle order, bowling them out for 112 in the 28th over.

Max Osbourne top-scored for the Tigers with 45 at the top of the order, while the Lions were best served by openers Cameron Newbold (36) and Matthew Gilfellon (25).

Mt Barker’s Alex Osborne top-scored with 66 in the Bulls’ crushing 119-point win over Narrikup in Narrikup.

He hit five fours in his crafty 68-ball knock to help the visitors post 9-206 from their 45 overs.

In reply, a defiant John Miell half century could not get the hosts over the line as they were skittled for just 87 in the 36th over.

Youngster Seth Davis took 4-14 from nine overs to lead the Bulls’ bowling attack.
