) — NBC4 meteorologist McKenna King is heading to Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, to join CBS News Texas KTVT as the weekday evening meteorologist.

King has been a beloved part of the NBC4 family since January 2022, serving as the weekday morning meteorologist and delivering central Ohio viewers accurate forecasts as part of NBC4’s Storm Team 4.

Before her time in Columbus, McKenna honed her broadcast skills in Tampa, Florida; Boise, Idaho; and Salt Lake City. A Utah native and graduate of both Brigham Young University and Mississippi State University, McKenna brought her passion for weather and her love for outdoor adventures and sports to every forecast.

A proud dog lover, McKenna often incorporated her passion for pets into her work, including her involvement with Canine Companions and the popular Dog Walk Forecasts, which quickly became a favorite among viewers. Whether walking her Golden Retrievers, Polly and Woody, or sharing tips for dog owners, McKenna brought a personal touch that resonated with the community.
