The ****** happened along I-10 West between Executive Center and Sunland Park Drive, police said. Police sent out an alert to media at about 12:30 a.m. but did not say exactly when the ****** happened. Police confirmed there was one fatality but didn’t say how many vehicles were involved or what led up to the ******. Special Traffic Investigations did respond to the scene. This specialized unit typically responds to crashes that have serious injuries or fatalities. TxDOT said that I-10 was closed in both directions before Sunland Park because of the ******.
