Baldur’s Gate 3’s Honour Mode Is So Difficult That Only 2% of the Total Playerbase on Steam Has Managed to Beat It

One of the most popular games of 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3, has an Honour Mode for players who prefer a challenging experience. It was added in November 2023 as a part of the Patch 5. The game is already quite difficult but the Honour Mode takes things to the next level. The bosses are much stronger, players get only one save slot, permadeath if the entire party is wiped out, and tougher restrictions are just a few things that players experience in the Honour Mode.

Completing the Honour Mode has some rewards but only a few have lived to tell the tale. It has been discovered that only a small percentage of players on Steam have completed the Honour Mode but many have made countless attempts to defeat the infamous Honour Mode.

Only 2% Of Baldur’s Gate 3‘s Playerbase On Steam Has Finished The Game On Honour Mode

It has been discovered that only 2.1% of Baldur’s Gate 3‘s player base on Steam has earned the Foehammer achievement, which is only unlocked after completing the game on Honour Mode. The Honour Mode is the next level of the Tactician mode, which itself is quite difficult. Out of the entire fanbase, only 22.8% of players have finished the game, so the number of players who have completed the game in Honour Mode is indeed very small.

account. At the time, it was revealed that 141,660 gamers completed the Honour Mode while a whopping 1.2 million players made an attempt to seize that Foehammer achievement, but failed.

Why Is The Honour Mode So Difficult?

As mentioned before, the Honour Mode comes after the Tactician difficulty, so this is the hardest version of Baldur’s Gate 3. Before starting the game on Honour Mode, the game gives players some information about what they can expect from it.

The summary reveals that the bosses are much more powerful, the rules are much stricter and players get a single save file. If the entire party is wiped out at any time during the Honour Mode playthrough, the game ends. Players then have to decide if they would like to delete the saved file or continue on custom difficulty. All those who manage to complete the game on this difficulty will be rewarded with an opulent Golden D20 to use in-game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most popular role-playing video games of this decade. The game has earned various awards and nominations, in fact, it was the first game to win the Game of the Year award at all five major video game award ceremonies; the Golden Joystick Awards, The Game Awards, the D.I.C.E. Awards, the Game Developers Choice Awards, and the British Academy Games Awards.
