Hype for Hidetaka Miyazaki’s All-Time Classic Has Never Been This High as PlayStation Teases Bloodborne Remake With 30th Anniversary Video

Bloodborne fans have once again been sent into a frenzy following PlayStation’s 30th anniversary trailer. The celebratory video concludes with a nod to FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki’s iconic gothic action RPG, showing a Hunter battling a ****** with the words “It’s about persistence.”

For a community that has spent years pleading for a remake, remaster, or even a 60fps patch for the beloved title, this teaser feels very intentional. With the game going into maintenance on December 3 and The Game Awards coming up right after on the 12th, it really feels like this might be it.

Hidetaka Miyazaki and FromSoft Are Cooking Something Up, Aren’t They?

Bloodborne was first released in 2015 and instantly secured its place as one of PlayStation’s most beloved exclusives. Since then, FromSoftware’s masterpiece has been stuck on the PS4 and all its limitations. It’s not the first time we’ve seen Sony trap a game on old hardware, and it won’t be the last.

Sony are going to do nothing with Bloodborne but will happily use it to make Bloodborne fans cope for another year; I’m going insane.

The inclusion of Bloodborne as the finale of the celebratory trailer feels intentional. Each featured game had a thematic caption—Spider-Man was “about sacrifice,” and The Last of Us was “about love.” Tying Bloodborne to persistence resonates deeply with its fanbase.

This isn’t just because the game is hard but because it also seems like a cheeky acknowledgment of the community’s tireless demands for an update since the game’s 2015 release.

It’s about you.

Thank you for 30 years of play

Interestingly, the anniversary teaser arrives just a week before The Game Awards on December 12. FromSoft has often used big yearly events like The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest to announce its projects, which is why fans are so excited.

Sony’s cryptic messaging isn’t new, but this time, it seems to cut deeper. Adding fuel to the *****, Bloodborne servers are scheduled for maintenance on December 3. While server updates are not uncommon for FromSoft games, the timing also coincides with PlayStation’s 30th anniversary.

for the not bloodborne fans, imagine your grandma made the best cake for your eighth birthday, and you kept asking her to make it again, and the day you graduate high school, she says “thanks for always asking for the cake” (this is the only time she has acknowledged the cake)

Sony’s marketing team has to be aware of Bloodborne’s devoted fanbase and their relentless calls for updates. By including the game in their celebratory trailer and pairing it with a theme that resonates deeply with its community, they’ve effectively gotten people hoping for something that may not even be real.

If you add it all up, it feels almost too convenient to be a mere coincidence. Whether it turns out to be genuine or just a prank, Sony really needs to stop fooling around. Especially with how the community has felt about the company recently.

While many fans dream of a complete remake, others would settle for smaller updates. A 60fps patch or even just a PS5 port could resolve the game’s most pressing technical issues and allowing it to shine on modern hardware.

Either way, we won’t have to wait long as December 3 is already upon us and The Game Awards will be here right after on the 12th. What do you make of these hints? Let us know in the comments!
