Drummer of My Chemical Romance found ***** in apartment

Bob Bryar, a former drummer for the emo band My Chemical Romance, has been found ***** at his home in the US state of Tennessee.

Mr Bryar’s body was found in a state of advanced decomposition after he was last heard from on Nov 4, according to celebrity gossip site TMZ.

A day ahead of the US election he had published single-word messages on social media, one of which was simply “Tulsi”, an apparent reference to Tulsi Gabbard, who would become Donald Trump’s pick as his National Intelligence director.

Authorities in Tennessee do not suspect foul play in the ****** of the 44-year-old because his musical instruments and guns were all still in the house, local media report.

Police officers also removed two dogs from his home.

International stardom

Mr Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004 just as they were experiencing their breakthrough to international stardom.

He toured with them on their second album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and played drums on the multi-platinum release, The ****** Parade.

The lead single on that 2006 album, Welcome to the ****** Parade, hit the top of the *** charts.

Mr Bryar left the band under acrimonious circumstances in 2010 shortly after they had finished recording their fourth studio album.

After retiring from the music industry in 2014 he started to work in real estate, according to TMZ.

‘Depressed, ******, suicidal’

He left several messages on social media suggesting that he was struggling with his mental health and that he felt ****** about the way that he had left the band.

In 2015, he tweeted that after being “kicked out of MyChem” he “became the most depressed, ******, suicidal person ever”.

In his second life as an estate agent, he donated to local dog shelters and auctioned off his drum kit to raise funds for a local animal rescue centre.

Hailing from Chicago, he played in marching bands in his youth before going on to study music engineering.

After breaking up in 2013, the band are scheduled to reunite for a tour in 2025. Mr Bryar was not listed as part of the lineup.
