Delta Force is an iconic FPS franchise and it is gearing up for a monumental return. While Escape From Tarkov ******** the number 1 game in the genre, the developers at Team ***** are bringing one big change to the extraction shooter genre. Unlike Tarkov’s mandatory wipes, Delta Force players will have the option to retain their progress between seasons. Set to launch its global open beta on December 5, the game will definitely be challenging Tarkov for the throne. And if it delivers with the right features, it might have a chance.

Delta Force is Bringing The ****** To the Extraction Shooter Genre

In most extraction shooters, including Escape From Tarkov, end-of-season wipes reset everyone’s progress to ensure fairness, which is a major reason why it gets backlash from fans. At the end of each three-month season, players can decide whether to wipe their progress or carry it over. But it isn’t as simple as that though. As one of the devs mentioned in a recent livestream, those who opt for a reset will be given rewards.

This means casual players can keep their hard-earned gear, while ********* players can opt to reset for a new challenge. The perks for those who reset will include the chance to spawn as a boss with access to exclusive equipment and strategies.

You guys nail the console launch after this and I really think you could be one of the biggest FPS games on the market.

Despite this, all players, regardless of choice, will face a reset of their safebox capacities. The decision to make wipes optional could be a clever idea for the non-grinders. For those who lack the time to grind after a reset, this mechanic eliminates the ***** of losing progress.

I had a blast playing the demo,, great iteration, some minor map balancing to be done, but over all a fantastic job. Super fun, I can’t wait for full release.

This dual approach to player demographics will have something for everyone and will be a departure from the often rigid structure seen in other extraction shooters.

The December 5 global beta of Delta Force will most likely be a soft launch for the game rather than just a beta. It will feature two main multiplayer modes: Hazard Operations and Havoc Warfare. These modes will include new maps, weapons, vehicles, and other updates planned over 44 days. With Tarkov on the bad side of the community‘s grace, a lot of players might switch over.

Cosmetics in Delta Force will also show Team *****’s commitment to immersion. While games like Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 have received criticism for having over-the-top skins, Delta Force will allegedly have none of that.

Set in the near-future of the 2030s, the game’s aesthetic will allow for some sci-fi elements in its cosmetics. But the devs won’t be overdoing it. Team ***** is also addressing concerns about monetization and cheating.

The game will allegedly have a battle pass without pay-to-win elements, and an anti-cheat system that’s still being refined. On paper, these are features that games like and respect.
