For more than 20 years, the grandmother has decorated her High Wycombe home with dozens of quintessential Aussie icons like Bluey, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Santa on the barbie in celebration of Christmas Down Under. “My hubby has made a Santa on the roof with six white boomers, so we’ve got the kangaroos flying off the roof this year … I don’t think anyone else in Australia has that,” she told The Sunday Times. “We’ve also got Santa with a ***** and a barbecue . . . and we’ve got echidnas, platypus’, sharks and even a little Nemo underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge.” What started as a small hobby has now snowballed into an annual tradition, with hundreds of colourful lights, signs and *****-up statues wrapping around her entire front yard each year. But hanging up hundreds of Christmas lights is no small feat. Camera IconJen Pegrum has decorated her home with Christmas lights for more than 20 years.
