However, some fans are comparing the current collaboration with that of Warzone. It also had a collaboration with Kong a little while back. Nevertheless, fans have greater expectations from Fortnite to pull it off better than COD.

The biggest reason why players feel more connected with the collaborations in Fortnite is largely to do with its animation style, which is not hyper-realistic and gives scope to integrate other universes seamlessly.

Fortnite collaborations are integrated into the gameplay through various skins, emotes, map changes, and special events. Whereas Call of Duty collaborations just offer cosmetic bundles, including skins, weapons, and finishing moves.

It does not alter the gameplay in any way, which makes the collaborations look forced, and also COD’s realistic approach towards game design leaves little scope to alter the collaborations.
