Larian Studios has proven time and time again that they are the gold standard when it comes to community support. Ever since the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3 on August 3, 2023, the studio has been quite transparent with the community, listening to their feedback and providing exciting updates. And it looks like they are not stopping anytime soon.

Larian has already teased Patch 8, which is going to offer a plethora of exciting new features, further proving its commitment to the game and its community. With each patch, it almost feels like the studio has a secret way of knowing the playerbase’s wishlist, and it is not shy about revisiting it time and time again.

Larian Studios Dropping Another Gift to Baldur’s Gate 3 Players With Patch 8

Baldur’s Gate 3 is already filled with countless hours of content, intricate character-building, and various engaging features like modding (introduced in Patch 7). The studio has already done enough to keep the game fresh and it could have easily sat back and let time do the rest.

Instead, Larian is going the extra mile and showcasing its dedication to the game and its community with Patch 8, which is coming early next year in January. This upcoming patch will introduce various new and exciting features like Cross-Play, Photo Mode, 12 new subclasses (one new for each class), and the continued promise of fixing various bugs.

Aside from the all-new cross-play, the standout feature for many in Patch 8 is going to be the 12 new subclasses, one for each of the existing classes in Baldur’s Gate 3. By introducing this, Larian has further increased the replayability of the game while offering fresh new strategies for players to incorporate into their gameplay.

On top of the new subclasses, Larian is also incorporating homebrewing into the mix.
