How to fix Puget-Lakes Error in ****** Ops 6

Playing Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 is difficult when you’re running into the Puget-Lakes error—and enemies. Thankfully, despite the problematic nature of the bug, you can try a few different methods to stop the error message from reappearing.

CoD games have a history of bugs, but how we deal with them defines us, and a world where ****** Ops 6 works perfectly without bugs would be boring. Packet Burst and the frustrating PC crashing error are par for the course.

The Puget-Lakes Error is another example of how the shooter can break, so let’s show you a few ways we’ve found to solve the problem.

Check Your Router

A solution I’ve offered for other ****** Ops 6 issues, and one I’m going to harp (not the Scorestreak) on about until I’m blue in the face, is looking at your router. The basis of so many technical issues stems from this simple piece of hardware. Check the signal strength, see if the router’s light is the correct ****** to indicate it’s working, and ensure any cables are correctly plugged in.

Call of Duty Servers

This is the one solution out of your control, but it’s always worth keeping up to date with the status of the ****** Ops 6 servers. I’ve already outlined multiple ways you can monitor the servers and check all the available channels to let you know if the problem is rooted in Activision’s court—not yours. The Puget-Lakes error can occur when the servers are down, faulty, or experiencing maintenance.

Update ****** Ops 6

****** Ops 6 automatically updates most of the time on most devices; however, it’s worth checking your platform’s internal settings to see if BLOPS 6 needs a game update. To do this, find ****** Ops 6 on your format of choice, go to the game’s settings, and check for updates. Chances are, you have it set to automatic, but if not, manually check for an update, and a quick refresh might be the fix.

Verify the Game Files

Finally, you can verify your ****** Ops 6 game files if you’re on PC. Again, it’s nothing revolutionary, but sometimes this can refresh the link between the shooter and the server.

If you’re on Steam, do this:

  1. Open up Steam.
  2. Go to your games library.
  3. Find Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6.
  4. Right-click on the shooter.
  5. Press on Properties.
  6. Choose Installed Files from the left-hand sub-menu.
  7. Now press on Verify integrity of game files to finish the job.

My fingers are crossed that one of these solutions does the job for you. Let us know if the Puget-Lakes error is now a thing of the past, and also be sure to check out news on the next Double XP Weekend, and how to unlock the Crown Clan Tag.
