Even Helldivers 2 Fans Don’t Know How to Use the DSS

Recently, a brand new strategic tool, Democracy Space Station, was added to Helldivers 2 that was supposed to aid Helldivers during their battles, however, the plan has backfired. The problem is that the community has the ability to vote and decide which planet the DSS should secure. The DSS was activated when Helldivers were fighting against major Automaton threats. The whole major order was a complete mess and the community was convinced that there was a huge communication gap.

Once again, several players on social media believe that the Helldivers 2 community is making a mistake by sending the DSS to the wrong planet. The current Major Order has ordered players to liberate more planets than are lost during the major order, so it is obviously better to focus on those planets that are easier to liberate.

The Helldivers 2 Community Is Wasting The DSS

The Helldivers 2 community is still unable to understand how the Democracy Space Station works as most of the players have voted to send the DSS to Vog-Sojoth of the Tanis Sector, a planet with a high reinforcement rate. If players send the DSS to a planet like Darius II, which has a low reinforcement rate, they will be able to liberate the planet faster, and on top of this, activating the Planetary Bombardment tactical action would boost the liberation campaign.

Most players don’t know that the web

allows players to view some stats that are not available in the game such as decay rate and reinforcement rate. The players are all over the galaxy trying to liberate different planets but this strategy will backfire as all attention should be on one planet to make sure it gets liberated. At the time of writing, Helldivers 2 players have managed to liberate only 1 planet with roughly 45 hours remaining.

The DSS Was Destroying The Players With The Enemies

As soon as the DSS went live, the community decided to use the Planetary Bombardment tactical action, which is just an orbital barrage that covers the entire planet. Unfortunately, the plan backfired as the tactical action was ******** Helldivers along with the enemies. During the last major order, the DSS was randomly moved and in the end, Automaton Jet Brigade took over Gaellivare, but thankfully, the DSS was safe.

Most players pointed out that there is no coordination among the community as players don’t think at all before voting. The toxicity has increased so much that the community is asking players to tone it down as its just a game.

Helldivers 2 has made a strong comeback and despite the setbacks, it has managed to win the Console Game of the Year title at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024. Arrowhead Game Studios’ efforts have finally paid off as the game is popular again but the game still needs some new content to keep the players hooked.
