Although only costing $149 the Dell G2724D comes with a fast IPS panel with a 2560 x 1440 (QHD) pixel resolution, a pixel-per-inch density of 109PPI, and a delightfully speedy 165Hz refresh rate over DisplayPort, and 144Hz over HDMI. The panel is flat with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 1ms gray-to-gray response time, and a 99% sRGB ****** gamut. The screen measures 27 inches and has a thin bezel on three sides – great for placing close to a second monitor for a multi-screen setup.

When we reviewed the Alienware AW2725DF we were impressed by the speed of the monitor, first with its 360Hz refresh rate and secondly, the 0.03ms response time which delivers perfect motion resolution without needing strobing or overdrive.
