Two people were injured after a single-engine plane crashed while landing at Doylestown Airport on Monday afternoon. Preliminary reports are that three people were in the six-seat plane when it stalled and crashed while attempting to land at the airport in the 3800 block of Old Easton Road, Bucks County spokesman James O’Malley said. The passengers were able to exit the plane, and two were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries, O’Malley said. Their names and conditions were not immediately known Monday afternoon. The plane struck a second plane on the runway when it crashed, and it’s believed that the second plane that was hit was unoccupied, O’Malley said. A 1993 Beechcraft Bonanza took off from Doylestown Airport shortly before noon and returned after 23 minutes, according to Flightaware. Records show that the plane last traveled round-trip between the Doylestown Airport and Reading Regional Airport on Nov. 11. The plane that crashed is owned by Elbow Key LLC of Blue Bell in Montgomery County, according to flight records.
