endeavors to make itself approachable for new players. It goes to great lengths to provide concise lore drops and explanations for characters connected to past events, like the fall of Netheril and Sarevok's conquest of Baldur's Gate. One event in particular warrants plenty of explanation, that being the fall of Elturel into Avernus, something that actually happened during an established Dungeons & Dragons module before BG3 takes place.
