PUBG: Battlegrounds will switch to a free-to-play model in January, according to Krafton. The first event requires users to link their Krafton ID to their gaming platform before January 12 to receive a Highside Slick Backpack, Highside Slick Top, and two Preset Slot Coupons valid for seven days. Meanwhile, gamers can invite three friends before January 12 to win a Highside Slick Helmet, Iron G-Coin Box, and a Bonus Reward. The last event, called “My PUBG Play Style” is a quiz that grants gamers a PUBG: Battlegrounds spray, and 10 Contraband Coupons.

Battle royale games have become popular ever since PUBG was launched in 2017, and the game has been successful on PC, and a mobile version of the game arrived a year later, with a free-to-play model.
