Looking to add some serious skill (and a little griffon charm) to your party in Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Here’s everything you need to know about how to recruit Davrin, the elven Grey Warden with a powerful combat style and his trusty griffon companion, Assan. We’ll teach you how to bring him into your team, along with the benefits he’ll bring to the table. Even if you’re not planning on bringing him along on all of your adventures, it’s worth finishing his quest and recruiting him (along with every other companion) to ensure you don’t lock yourself into an unwanted ending. Who is Davrin in Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Davrin and his friendly Griffon Assan are a companion choice in The Veilguard. Davrin is a Grey Warden you’ll encounter during the main questline, specifically in the mission “A Warden’s Best Friend.” An elven warrior with an impressive skill set, Davrin brings his knowledge of the hunt and fierce loyalty to his new path in the Grey Wardens. He doesn’t come alone, though! Accompanying him is his furry friend Assan, a young griffon he’s taken under his wing, a pretty cool aspect of him that plays into his combat style and story. Recruiting him is an easy task, even to those who haven’t played any of the RPGs we recommended to prepare for this title and are unfamiliar with the franchise or its companion system. Tip You can’t permanently drive away companions after recruiting them, but story choices you make can positively or negatively affect them. Once you’re on the mission, Davrin will join your party early on, and you’ll get to experience his fighting style and the bond he shares with Assan in action. Look for any interaction options along the way to increase his approval rating. What Are the Benefits of Recruiting Davrin? He comes with a cool furry friend, but that’s not all! Dragon Age Davrin is a proven monster hunter and thus comes with powerful abilities—Battle Cry, ****** from Above, Heroic Strike, and In War, Victory, making him a very valuable warrior to have on the battlefield. Thanks to his special relationship with Assan, his exploration perk allows him to call upon his furry friend to drop hanging crates and ******** blight boils. His personal companion quest, “How to Train a Griffon,” takes you on an adventure to strengthen his bond with Assan and even make some major decisions involving griffons and the Grey Wardens, which is pretty fun to see. Plus, forming a strong bond with him opens up romance options and further story content if that’s something you’re interested in.
