Man, 22, booked for ******* in Vancouver Mall *********

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 22-year-old man was booked for ******* and ******** in connection with the Thursday night ********* at the Vancouver Mall that left one person ***** and two others wounded.

Travis L. Ward surrendered to Vancouver police after a home was surrounded on Saturday, officials said in a late Saturday press release. Detectives followed up on information that Ward was inside the home and, with the help of a SWAT unit, took him into custody.

The ********* happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday near the mall’s food court. The shooter shot one person and “fired other rounds that struck two other individuals.”

The names of the victims have not yet been released.

Earlier Saturday, investigators asked for help locating two women who may have witnessed the *********. They were identified, cooperated and “neither are considered suspects or persons of interest in the ******.”
