The episode started with a news anchor reporting on the election stating that Ms Harris was ready backstage and that Mr Trump was late as he was still talking at a rally. The program cut to James Austin Johnson impersonating Mr Trump who said he was tired and struggling with the microphone, referencing Mr Trump’s now-viral Milwaukee, Wisconsin microphone fail. Rudolf then appeared in a scene set backstage at a news studio where she said she wished she could speak to someone like her. “Gosh I wish I could talk to someone who has been in my shoes,” Rudolf said. “A ****** South ****** woman running for president, preferably from the Bay Area. Rudolf sat in front of a mirror, and with a camera angle changed, the real Ms Harris was revealed sitting opposite. “You and me both sister,” Ms Harris replied. “It’s nice to see you Kamala,” Rudolf said. “It’s nice to see you Kamala,” Ms Harris said back. “I’m just here to remind you of something, you’ve got this. Because you can do something your opponent can’t do. You can open doors.” “I see what you did, like to a garbage truck,” Rudolf said laughing. “I don’t really laugh like that do I?” Ms Harris asked. “Ahh, a little bit,” Rudolf replied. Ms Harris and Rudolf entered into a volley of comments, rhyming things with Kamala. “The ********* people want to stop the chaos,” Rudolf said. “And stop the ‘dramala’,” Ms Harris said. “With a new ‘step-mamala’,” Rudolf riffed. “Get back in my ‘pajamalas’,” Ms Haris said laughing. “And watch a rom-comala,” Rudolf said. “Like Legally Blonde-ala” Ms Harris said, keeping up with the comedian. Because what do we always say? Keep Kamala and carry on-a-la,” the two said together. “We know each other so well, we even finish each other’s,” Rudolf started before in unison the paid said: “Belief in the promise of America,” the pair said in unison. Rudolf brought Ms Harris into the middle of the room and stood next to the vice president. “Let me tell you something, I’m going to vote for us,” Rudolf said. “Great, any chance you are registered in Pennsylvania?” Ms Harris asked jokingly. The move is just another feather in Ms Harris’ cap of major pop culture moments and celebrity endorsements she has used as part of her campaign.
