A chainsword and a high-capacity HMG? Now if that isn’t a balanced breakfast of democracy and destruction, we don’t know what is! Now, while we can’t quite achieve Titanfall levels of mech-pilot synergy, there is a way to live out your mech-riding fantasies in Helldivers 2. With a well-timed jump with the Lift-850 Jump Pack, you can actually land on top of a fellow diver’s mech.

It’s not exactly stable, and you’re more likely to fall off before you pull off any heroic feats, but it’s a thrill that every Helldiver should experience at least once.

As Arrowhead continues to refine and expand Helldivers 2, who knows what exciting new features we might see added to our arsenal? One thing’s for sure—whether it’s a Morningstar Mace, a Chainsword, or just more dakka, the community will be ready to wield it in the name of democracy.
