New York Times Connections Hints Today, Nov. 1st, #509

If you are looking for The New York Times Connections hints today for November 1, you have come to the right place. Connections may seem simple on the surface and much easier than what the NYT did with Wordle, but players who have actually checked it out know that is just not the case.

Despite having all of the words available, arranging them in different categories can prove to be quite challenging.

For the uninitiated, Connections is an online word game by NYT that provides the player with 16 different words, which may not seem like they are connected to one another at first glance, but they have more in common than one might think.

The objective is to divide the words into groups of four, with each group focusing on a specific theme. In case you are having a hard time with today’s Connections puzzle, we have prepared some hints to help you out for Friday, November 1.

Of course, we have also revealed all of the answers for today’s Connections puzzle at the end, so if the hints are not helping either, you can simply just head down to the solutions and save yourself some headache to prepare for tomorrow’s challenge.

Some Connections puzzles can be quite tough to solve, so if the hints above have not really made things clear, today’s word groups should help simplify them even further:

  • Yellow: Progress Slowly
  • Green: Ways to Order a *****
  • Blue: Cheesy Corn Snack Unit
  • Purple: _ Effect

New York Times Connections Answers Today for November 1

If you have tried your best and still not succeeded, there is not any need to worry, as we have listed down the answers below to make today’s Connections puzzle a breeze to solve:

  • Progress Slowly: Crawl, Creep, Drag, Inch
  • Ways to Order a *****: Bottle, Can, Draft, Tap
  • Cheesy Corn Snack Unit: Ball, Curl, Doodle, Puff
  • _ Effect: Butterfly, Domino, Halo, Placebo

While Crawl and Creep clearly belonged in the same group, it was Drag that could have confused players, as it also fits perfectly with Puff in a smoking context.

Of course, unless you have been to the bar and like to indulge in alcoholic beverages, it may have been difficult to figure out what the Green category was all about, although the inclusion of Draft in the group was still not the most straightforward to realize.

Interestingly enough, the Purple category in today’s challenge was actually much easier than many of the previous ones, as reading the word Placebo usually directly links to the Effect, and once that happens, the rest of the words just kind of fall into place.

But that is what makes Connections such a fun game to play, as every day brings a new challenge for dedicated players to complete, so if you were not able to solve today’s puzzle, there is always tomorrow.

And if that gives you trouble as well, rest assured that we will have yet another guide waiting for you. However, if you did achieve success with today’s Connections puzzle, many congratulations!

While waiting and preparing for tomorrow’s puzzle, you can also go on a quick trip down memory lane and check out yesterday’s challenge again.
