****** Ops 6 – How to Turn Off the New Leaning Mechanic

The highly anticipated Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 has finally been released, packed with new features and tweaks to keep the gameplay loop fresh. The main highlight this time around is the new omnidirectional movement system, which gives players far more enhanced movement options as compared to previous installments.

But not all changes are as big, and there are some smaller additions you can choose to customize. One of these new additions is called Corner Slicing, a unique mechanic that’s designed to help players get better visuals when aiming around tight corners. While it’s a cool new mechanic, it might be a bit annoying for some players. Here’s how to turn it off in ****** Ops 6.

How to Turn off the Corner Slicing Mechanic in ****** Ops 6

When you’re near a corner in ****** Ops 6’s multiplayer, Corner Slicing starts automatically. As you get close to an edge, your ******* tilts to line up with the sightline you’re aiming at, so you see more of what’s around the corner without putting your character at risk or danger.

The goal of Corner Slicing is to help you spot enemies and objects without having to step out fully and give you a lot more cover than before so that you don’t get shot as easily when hiding behind cover.

However, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, as some players might find it throws off their aim or feels a little odd. If you’re one of those players who’d rather turn off Corner Slicing, it’s pretty simple to do. Just head to the in-game settings, find the Movement menu, and look for the Corner Slice option.

You can toggle it off there, and once disabled, your corner approach will go back to the usual way, without the ******* tilting. And, if you ever change your mind, it’s easy to turn it back on anytime.

****** Ops 6 Has In-Depth HUD Customization

Corner Slice is the last option in the Intelligent Movement list, in the Movement settings.

Another big feature in ****** Ops 6 is the new and flexible HUD system, which is something fans have been asking for over the years.

The HUD now offers a bunch of customization options that let you change how the information looks on your screen. You can move the minimap around, hide parts of the HUD, or even turn it off entirely if you want a less cluttered view.

To make these changes, go to the Interface tab in your settings, then find the Gameplay HUD options. The HUD Presets are where you’ll find the biggest changes.

****** Ops 6 comes with ten layout presets at launch, each one changing the position of things like your minimap, compass, ammo indicators, and more. So if you want your minimap at the bottom of the screen for example, you’ll need to pick a layout that already has it there. You can’t move specific elements yourself, but the preset layouts offer plenty of variety to give your HUD a personal touch.

With all these new options, ****** Ops 6 gives players more control over their gameplay experience, both in how they move and how they see the game.
