But here’s a hot take you wouldn’t expect: A few months back, Joe Rogan threw in his two cents on the matter, essentially stating that camping isn’t the absolute travesty people make it out to be. Honestly, it’s hard not to agree with him here. Camping in Call of Duty Isn’t as Bad as People Make It Out to Be, and Joe Rogan Agrees Terminus in ****** Ops 6 Zombies – Image Credit: Treyarch. Now, let’s get one thing out of the way first: Camping isn’t going away anytime soon, for the allure of this sweet and frustrating tactic is a bit too strong for any COD player to resist. Love it or hate it, it’s effective—especially in modes where survival and strategy come into play, and it seems that Rogan also agrees with us here. For This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up , in Joe Rogan Experience #2112 with Dan Soder, he explained his stance on the matter, saying: People get very **** at campers, but it’s a f*cking…look, you’re going to get **** at snipers in a war? Shut the f**k up, that’s the part of the war. Putting aside the comparison between Call of Duty and the realities of our own world, he isn’t exactly wrong here, is he? While it might feel far removed from the adrenaline-filled run-and-**** gameplay loop of COD, camping offers a tactical layer to the battlefield that some players are drawn to. At its core, camping isn’t inherently wrong. Sure, it can be annoying when you’re the one falling prey to a well-timed ambush, and it’s most undoubtedly tedious when people spend entire matches holed up with claymores backing them up, but it’s also a crucial part of what makes this franchise so unpredictable and fun. Let’s also not forget that, as much as we might want it to be, COD isn’t purely about honorable gunfights between people. It’s about outsmarting your opponent, whatever that looks like. So, while you may not enjoy campers lurking in every corner, things aren’t as ****** and white as they may seem at a glance. ****** Ops 6’s Multiplayer, Even With Its New Features, Has Campers in Spades The omnimovement in ****** Ops 6 – Image Credit: Treyarch. With every new title since 2019’s Modern Warfare, the developers have tried to reduce the downsides of camping as much as possible, and ****** Ops 6 hasn’t ignored it, either. For instance, in an attempt to make matches more dynamic and give players more options to take on the opponents, Treyarch introduced the omni-movement system and reworked specific map layouts to limit predictable hiding spots. At the end of the day, however, camping continues to find its way into multiplayer even with these changes. It has become a lot less rage-inducing for others, with the inclusion of more gameplay interactions and the inactivity timers, but like we said before, the allure of going prone is a little too strong in COD. All that is to say, camping isn’t just a habit to keep the K/D ratio healthy; for many, it’s simply a fun time. You don’t have to like it, but it’s clear to us that camping will always have its place on the battlefield. But, with all that out of the way, what are your thoughts on ****** Ops 6’s multiplayer so far? Did you find any campers in your matches? Let us know in the comments below!
