‘Arbitrary, speculative’: Santos net-zero plan attacked

Fossil fuel giant Santos plucked arbitrary figures out of thin air to back claims it could meet international climate change goals and reach net-zero emissions by 2040, a court has been told.

The oil and gas exploration company has been accused of misleading and deceptive conduct by advocacy group Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility in Federal Court proceedings launched in August 2021.
