, the *********** MMA superstar revealed that he is obsessed with video games. Before any big ******, besides the conventional MMA training and drills, several hours of gaming have always been an instrumental part of his preparation.

The ****** weeks for him are always stressful. But ‘The Reaper’ unwinds himself by making progress in his in-game characters, where nothing exists other than what’s going on in the game at that time. He doesn’t even have any best friends in the real world. This is what he said about his love for gaming:

My best friends and my main friends are those that I speak to online. I don’t have the time to go out. So to be able to just jump online – we all have our groups linked up in Discord and we can always just catch up online. 

He also finds gaming to be a really good way to meditate. According to him, the creation of the characters and going on these journeys is the easiest method of escaping, and it’s an instant hit of dopamine. Not only him, but another UFC legend is so obsessed with video games that he is going to surface a brand new boxing game soon.

Whittaker is aware that his young family is also eagerly observing his gaming. His young daughter and three sons are all catching up to him in terms of screen time. His sons and daughter love video games so much that they can play them literally for days. 

The Bethesda Ambassador Is Also a Fully-Voiced Skyrim Companion

Robert Whittaker is a huge fanatic for fantasy games, especially The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. His all-day-long social media posts about the Bethesda RPG title and great interest in the storyline of the game tell about his love for the game. However, these efforts have paid off, as the *********** MMA fighter is an ambassador for Bethesda’s Australia and New Zealand branches.

Later on, in December 2021, he was added as a semi-official, fully-voiced companion mod in Skyrim. The mod’s semi-official status, Virginia ‘Steelfeathers’ Smith, a Texan modder who created the Farming mod, among other things, was commissioned by Bethesda ANZ for the project. 

Mods based on real-world celebrities are a dime-a-dozen, both in Skyrim and in other games, but it’s extremely rare for them to be fully voiced as this one is. In addition to the voice and the likeness, the Whittaker companion has “scripted combat behavior,” unique special abilities, a recruitment quest, and a “unique fighting style.” As the image under the subheading evinces, that fighting style definitely involves punching people, creatures, and vampires really hard in the skull.
