Both a 2021 Toyota SUV and a 2017 Ford sedan were driving west on I-26, according to Bolt. At the 135 mile marker, the Toyota was slowing for traffic when the Ford hit it in the rear and the SUV driver *****, Bolt said.

A passenger in the Toyota was airlifted by helicopter to an area hospital, according to Bolt. Further information on the passenger’s condition was not available.

Bolt said the driver, who was the only person in the Ford, was not hurt. No other injuries were reported.
