A nine-year-old boy has ***** in hospital after a car ploughed into his family when they were riding their e-bikes on the Gold Coast.

The boy was a passenger on an e-bike being ridden by his father, 46, when a Honda Odyssey ran into them at the Robina Town Centre about 6.11pm on Wednesday.
