WA Police Union president Paul Gale has been axed by the body’s board, just hours after officers overwhelmingly rejected a second pay offer from the State Government.

Speaking on Thursday to announce the decision to ******* the offer, Mr Gale revealed he had lost his bid for re-election in the top job to senior vice president Dave Flaherty.
