) – The Grand Junction Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating two suspects who were allegedly involved in a hit-and-run.

The suspects, 42-year-old Jacob Ryan Konig and Nichole Serena Melvin, 36, were the reported driver and passenger, respectively. Konig’s truck allegedly struck a vehicle from behind around 9 p.m., Oct. 10, near the area of 28 3/4 Road and North Avenue. The truck was traveling at a high rate of speed that ended in a “serious ******,” GJPD said in the press release.

The other driver suffered serious bodily injury and ******** in the hospital. Konig and Melvin allegedly fled the scene before law enforcement arrived on the scene.

If anyone has information on Konig and Melvin’s whereabouts, call nonemergency dispatch at 970-242-6707 and reference incident number 24-52028.

Residents can also anonymously call ****** Stoppers of Mesa County at 970-241-STOP. A tip that leads to an arrest can result in a $1,000 award.
