There’s no denying the fact that Endurance is the least thought-of of Elden Ring‘s three main stats. Losing all of your HP can ***** you, and FP is the fuel for the title’s most powerful abilities. Endurance and its statistics, such as Stamina and Equip Load, don’t get the right attention.

Endurance leveling can prove to be a nightmare in any Soulsborne, but running out of Stamina at the exact wrong moment is a surefire way to end up *****. Luckily, Hidetaka Miyazaki and FromSoftware have made it redundant in The Lands Between.

Elden Ring and the Soulsborne titles that preceded it, crafted by FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki, are known for being unforgiving games that can prove incredibly difficult to beat. The level of difficulty is at a point where certain gamers simply give up and delete the game outright as they can’t face the challenges in The Lands Between.

One of the most frustrating aspects of the Soulsborne franchise in the past has been the stamina meter. In games such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne, it presented an immense challenge as it restricted crucial actions such as attacking and blocking.

Yes, the stamina bar exists in Elden Ring, but we feel it has less influence on the player overall. We wanted to make it feel less restrictive and contribute to that level of freedom more so than our previous titles.

Even though the stamina bar still exists in Elden Ring, it doesn’t play as crucial a role as it did in the previous Soulsborne games. According to Miyazaki, the change in the feature was primarily aimed at giving gamers more freedom to engage in combat and exploration.

By reducing the impact of the stamina bar in the Elden Ring, players can act more fluidly and *******, dodge, and perform various actions without the ***** of dropping ***** due to running out of stamina.

It’s great to see that Miyazaki and his team learned from the players ‘ concerns surrounding the difficulty of their games and brought the right changes to smoothen the experience.

We still don’t know much about FromSoftware and Miyazaki’s next game. While it’s not a DLC for Elden Ring, there’s always a chance the studio could bring us a full-blown sequel in some way or shape. After all, this is the biggest IP under the studio’s belt, and they won’t toss it like that.
