Ten Years Later, Guerrilla Admits It’s ‘Done’ With Killzone

It could be argued that Killzone made Guerrilla. The intense, alt-universe first-person shooter debuted in 2004 on PlayStation 2, introducing a next-generation title with a phenomenal setting and story. It spawned four major follow-up titles and a couple of spin-offs, but since 2013, the franchise has stood abandoned by Guerrilla Games.

Hearing the words ‘done with it’ sent a shock through my soul. Killzone was one of the first games I fell in love with as a ****. I poured hundreds of hours into it, and it introduced me to the world of first-person shooters – and multiplayer FPS combat. I always knew that the return of the series would be a one-in-a-million chance, but now we’ve got it on paper and confirmed.
