According to new information from an This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up in September, it was revealed that Sony tried to convince developer Pearl Abyss to bring the action-adventure game exclusively to the PS5. With the agreement, like most, Sony would’ve required Crimson Desert not be released on Xbox for a “certain ******* of time”. However, Pearl Abyss said that they decided to move forward with self-publishing the game because “it was judged that self-publishing would be highly profitable”. In terms of its story and atmosphere, it was compared it to the successful Ghost of Tsushima. Despite no final systems being confirmed, this news almost guarantees that the game will be available on PS5, Xbox, and PC at launch. There’s also no set release date just yet, but the game is expected to release in Q2 2025. More information should be announced over the next few months.
