One of them is the Mirror Puzzle found towards the end of the game, required to obtain an item that was found in the original game simply by exploring. This tricky puzzle requires you to piece together broken shards of glass to restore a mirror and complete a secret action with a specific item. If you’re struggling to figure it out, don’t worry. We’ll guide you through how to solve the Mirror Puzzle and where to find it. The Mirror Puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake requires you to fix a broken mirror by finding and placing shattered pieces in the correct order. When you come across it, you first need to find the scattered mirror shards. There are five pieces near the mirror, but one piece is missing. Head to the adjacent room, where you’ll find the missing shard on the bed. Once you’ve collected all six shards, it’s time to put the mirror back together. Start from the edges of the mirror, fitting the pieces one by one. It’s a fairly simple puzzle that requires a bit of patience to figure out which piece goes where, but you’ll eventually get it. Your job isn’t over after fixing the mirror, though. Take a look at the plate in front of it: you’ll be prompted to place an Apple on the plate next to the mirror. You have two options here. You can place the Rotten Apple, located in the Gardens outside the Hotel on a bench. Or, you can place a Ripe Apple, found in the Lakeview Hotel’s Hall on the second floor. Both are valid answers for the puzzle, so use whichever you have on hand or is closest to access. Once the mirror is fixed and the Apple is placed, go to Room 201. You’ll find the Snow White figure, which is required for solving the Music Box Puzzle later in the game. You’ll encounter the Silent Hill 2 Mirror Puzzle inside the Lakeview Hotel, the final area of the game. After acquiring the Sunrise Wing Key from the utility room on the first floor, you can unlock the double doors on the second floor of the hotel. Head into the Cloakroom and open the door leading to the hall, where you’ll come across a large room filled with Mannequins. Then, get the Room 202 Key from the couch. Tip You can grab the Ripe Apple in the same room whether or not you have the Rotten Apple. Now, head to Room 202 to start solving the Broken Mirror puzzle in Lakeview Hotel. You can’t skip this puzzle, as the Snow White figure is needed for the Music Box puzzle. Once you’ve solved that, you’ll receive the key to unlock the third floor of the Lakeview Hotel, required to eventually unlock the final Pyramid Head boss ******. That’s how you solve the Mirror Puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake. It’s a satisfying mini-challenge that sets you up for an even more cryptic puzzle. The creepy atmosphere of Lakeview Hotel doesn’t make things any easier, but there’s no going back for James Sunderland—he has to move forward.
