WAIPAHU, Hawaii (KHON2) — Honolulu police are investigating an officer-involved ********* in Waipahu that left one in serious condition.

According to HPD, the call came in just before 7 p.m. when officers were responding to a family argument on Aniani Place.

Officials said officers “encountered and shot an armed male who was attacking another man.”

Paramedics arrived at the scene around 7:25 p.m. and treated an 18-year-old male for an apparent gunshot wound.

Another male, 23, was treated for an apparent ********.

Both were transported to an emergency room in serious condition.

Police investigators remained at the scene.
