Multiple Mercedes-Benz models recalled due to ***** risk

Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 685 vehicles across multiple model lines, owing to a fault which can lead to the cars catching *****.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the electrical connector in the transmission wiring harness may allow moisture to enter resulting in a short circuit,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.

“This may lead to thermal overload when the vehicle is parked resulting in a vehicle *****.

“A vehicle ***** could increase the risk of injury or ****** to vehicle occupants, bystanders and/or damage to property.”
