The latest Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth update fixes its Platinum Trophy bug

A new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth update fixes a bug that was making it impossible for some players to earn a Platinum Trophy, among other features.

An earlier patch introduced the issue, which stopped the game registering scores gained in the Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop sidequest that involves a G-Bike arcade simulator minigame.

Because this was preventing players from earning a Trophy for hitting a certain high score in the minigame, it was also therefore making the Platinum Trophy – awarded for getting all other trophies – impossible to achieve.

Patch 1.030 for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available to download.

The patch contains fixes to bugs including the one which halted progress in the “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” sidequest.

Square Enix released the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth soundtrack, which features 175 tracks, earlier this week.

Its release followed the news that Nobuo Uematsu has agreed to compose the main theme for the third game in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy.

Uematsu is best known for composing the soundtracks for the first nine Final Fantasy games, in addition to working on numerous subsequent series entries.

Although Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth contain soundtracks created by different composers, Uematsu composed the main theme for both games – ‘Hollow’ for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and ‘No Promises to Keep’ for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
