The mammoth task of building hundreds of homes in just a few years for AUKUS defence personnel took a major step forward.

Federal Defence Industries Minister Matt Keogh announced Friday three contracts had been signed between Defence Housing Australia and a number of WA construction businesses to deliver 550 rental dwellings.
