Sparking Zero Revives Trunk’s Worst Nightmare That Would Have Vegeta Doing The Hardest Facepalm Of His Life

There’s no doubt that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is one of this year’s most hyped game releases, as it marks the return of the beloved Budokai Tenkaichi series. After all, with Bandai Namco’s new title, players have plenty of nostalgia to experience and new memories to create.

Sparking Zero features over 180 fighters and brings back some of the most iconic characters in the Dragon Ball franchise. One such character is Future Trunks, who quickly rose to the ranks of fan favorite due to his incredible design and backstory. While Sparking Zero has done a fantastic job recreating the character, the game does him quite ****** by reviving one of his worst nightmares that ended up defining his life.

Sparking Zero Brings the Worst For Future Trunks

Well, what makes a character so beloved is the relatability factor with their audience. Although it’s quite a tragic connection to make, Future Trunks sits right there within the hearts of fans due to how they were able to connect with the character and relate to his loss.

In the future, when Goku doesn’t manage to survive due to a heart virus after coming back to Earth, the Androids emerge and ******** the entire world. At some point, Gohan tries to face the Androids alone so Trunks won’t end up dying, which leads to his demise. Seeing the lifeless body of his best friend and teacher awakens the rage within Trunks and allows him to achieve his own Super Saiyan form.

Ultimately, he ends up going back in time to permanently get rid of the threat of Androids by either finding their weakness or getting Goku to go to his timeline and take them. While his plans do work out in the end, the brutality of the Androids scarred him for life, as we can see in this Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero clip.

The sheer trauma given by the Androids to Future Trunks is so deep that when two versions of the character face off against each other, they believe that they’re going against an Android! It’s just mind-boggling how Future Trunks does know about the existence of alternative versions of Z Fighters but still fails to recognize himself.

If Vegeta got to look at this, he would scowl at his son and would probably motivate him by saying a true Saiyan never shows his *****, no matter the ******! Future Trunks has already been through ***** and experienced the worst of the worst. It’s time for him to act like Saiyan, get past the features of those pathetic machines, and embrace his father’s motto.

Sparking Zero Achieves Incredible Player Numbers

If you’re unaware, Sparking Zero isn’t supposed to drop until October 11th, but gamers who pre-ordered the title’s Deluxe or Ultimate Editions can already dig into the action with early access. Few people who ordered the physical Collector’s Edition received their copies even before that.

Despite the game being limited to a selected audience right now, Steam is reporting a massive surge of players during the game’s early access. According to

, roughly around 46,500 players are currently fighting through their way in Dragon Ball: Sparing Zero, with a peak at 91,005 over the last 24 hours.

This is seriously an impressive number, considering the fact that the game isn’t globally available for everyone right now. It’s being met with positive reviews, with much of the praise directly aimed at the lightning-fast gameplay. However, some believe that Bandai Namco must tone down the game’s difficulty as it’s quite punishing in certain fights.

With that said, do you think Sparking Zero is a masterpiece and a potential contender for the Game of the Year award? If so, let us know in the comments below.
