In 2022, ****** Gray Studio and Playstack dropped The Case Of The Golden Idol–a point-and-click investigation game centered around the titular gilded totem–and it quickly became a smash hit. Now, after announcing the follow-up at last year’s The Game Awards, ****** Gray and Playstack have confirmed that The Rise Of The Golden Idol will launch on November 12, while a new demo is available on Steam today.

The Rise Of The Golden Idol continues the story of the cursed curio, as it takes place in the 1970s–300 years after the Cloudsley family’s exploits in the first game. The new story follows a relic hunter who has heard stories about the Golden Idol, and they’ve decided to seek out the ancient artifact for themselves.
