There are no longer World Tiers; instead, Blizzard took a step back and reintroduced the Torment system from Diablo 3. It’s straightforward enough on the surface, but you’ll soon find the game proves more challenging than ever before. Here’s what you need to know about the new Diablo 4 difficulty levels when creating a character in Season 6! An Overview of the Diablo 4 Difficulty Levels Instead of jumping through World Tiers 1-4, Diablo 4 offers eight difficulty levels ranging from Normal to Torment IV. The higher up the scale you go, the better the rewards, but the more challenging the enemies. On Torment difficulty, the ARPG will challenge you, requiring you to prioritize proper build and gear planning. Normal Unlock: Default Standard difficulty setting with baseline EXP and gold drops. From there, open up The Pit and progress deeper into the end-game mechanic until you reach Tier 65. Once you hit this point, you’ll unlock all Torment difficulties.
