Interestingly, this collection also includes the Richard Donner Cut of Superman 2, which most fans consider to be the superior version of the sequel. It’s a long story regarding why there are two cuts of the Superman sequel–creative conflicts and budget concerns behind the scenes being some of the culprits here–but Donner’s version adds more substance to the story overall.
