$157m for Perenti’s Barminco to see sun set on IGO’s super Nova

Barminco will keep on shovelling at the Nova nickel mine — and will likely still be there when it gives up its last load — after securing a $157 million contract extension with owner IGO.

The win will push out the Perenti-owned underground mining service provider’s presence at the Fraser Range mine to more than a decade. It first started on the then-greenfields site in early 2015.
