Star Trek: The Original Series

This is a 20-disc collection that was released to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Star Trek at the time, and it contains all 78 episodes and the TV pilot “The Cage” across the three seasons that the show ran. Set in an optimistic future where humanity has joined a growing alliance of planets, Star Trek chronicled the adventures of Captain James T. Kirk and his crew aboard the USS Enterprise as they ventured to far-off planets and boldly went where no one had gone before.

Yes, some of these episodes are very dated–it did begin airing in 1967–but there’s a cheesy charm to it, thanks to the low-budget special effects, hammy acting, and at least one infamously terrible ****** scene.
