Hotel Barcelona has been delayed to next year

Hotel Barcelona’s target release window has been delayed to “early 2025”, White Owls CEO Hidetaka Suehiro has confirmed.

The collaboration between Deadly Premonition creator Suehiro’s development studio and No More Heroes creator Goichi Suda was previously expected to be released this year.

Hotel Barcelona is a 2.5D action game that parodies slasher films, written and directed by Suehiro from an original idea by Suda. It will be released simultaneously for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC via Steam.

It sees players step into the shoes of Justine, a federal marshal with a serial ******* living inside of her. Players have to ****** through seven stages, each inspired by a different sub-genre of horror.

VGC got a chance to try out a level based on Friday the 13th at ********* indie game festival BitSummit in July.

“While the game initially appears to be a straightforward hack and slash affair, the gimmick comes when you **** and start the stage again,” we wrote.
