This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Monday afternoon regarding the closure of public schools on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw== The National Hurricane Center is forecasting that Milton will reach Category 5 hurricane strength before weakening to a Category 3 storm ahead of a Wednesday landfall. “All District-operated schools and offices will be closed Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10,” the District’s statement reads. “Extracurricular activities, after-care programs, sports, school meetings, and other on-campus events are also canceled Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10. Additionally, while schools will remain open with classes as normal on Tuesday, all extracurricular activities, including all athletic events, were cancelled.
