EU response to wildfires in Southern Europe. MEPs will discuss with Commissioner Hoekstra ways to improve the EU’s capacity to adapt to and mitigate extreme climate episodes, focusing on recent wildfires in Southern Europe, affecting in particular Portugal and Greece.

Aid for Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Greece and France following floods. Plenary will review planned financial aid to five EU member states affected by severe floods in 2023. The vote to green light the disbursement of funds will take place on Tuesday.
