The 8.5kg LPG exchange gas cylinders with Swap N Go branding were sold at Bunnings Geraldton on 11 September this year. According to the ACCC recall notice, affected cylinders may have been overfilled, which could cause gas to be released from the safety valve in the cylinder. There is also a high risk of cold burns and property damage if the gas released from the cylinder comes not contact with an ignition source. Supplied Credit: NewsWire If the cylinder is connected to an appliance, there is a serious risk of liquid LPG flowing into the appliance instead of gas, which may cause it to catch ***** or explode. People are urged to “stop using the cylinder immediately and disconnect it from any appliance”. Those who purchased a gas cylinder from the Bunnings store should contact Elgas to arrange a collection and replacement free of charge.
