Bricktown shootings leave five wounded Saturday, investigations continue

Two separate shootings Saturday in Bricktown left five people wounded.

Police said the first ********* occurred about 9:30 p.m. near Bass Pro Shops when two groups of people got into a physical altercation. One person fired a *******. A male was wounded in the right arm.

Emergency responders treated the ********* victim with a tourniquet and transported him to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Less than an hour later, police said, a second ********* erupted near the fountain close to Harkins Theatres.

The *********, which was unrelated to the earlier altercation, occurred while two groups got into a verbal conflict that turned physical. One person fired a *******, injuring four people. They were transported to local hospitals with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

Following the shootings, police took three people into custody and recovered two firearms.

Police have not yet publicly identified those involved. The city last year enacted a 9 p.m. curfew on unaccompanied minors in the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
