Fremantle recruit Gabby Newton says it’s on the players to find a way to shake their disastrous first-quarter form after it cost them against an injury hit Hawthorn on Sunday.

The Dockers have only kicked two first quarter goals this season and while the second came against the Hawks at Fremantle Oval, they conceded three in the opening stanza on their way to a nine-point defeat.
